The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Rwanda [MINAGRI], in its process of transformation and modernization of agriculture and livestock, has set up this system of information management of the Agriculture and Livestock sector in the form of this dynamic Website. 

This site was designed as a tool to collect, centralize and share information in the agricultural sector of Rwanda, between the various actors and partners. That said, the system offers easy access to the actors or partners to provide information on their achievements but also for receiving information relating to the achievements of other stakeholders.

It is a way to make themselves known and to advertise in Rwanda and abroad (business card). It is also a way to quickly access all the information in agriculture and livestock sector in Rwanda.

was launched in March 2009 and implemented under the Belgium Technical Cooperation project PASNVA (Support to the National Extension System Project)  hosted in MINAGRI and funded by the Belgium Cooperation.

 

The system was implemented by SHER Ingénieurs-Conseils s.a.

 

 

The website is powered by , an open source content management system. For the implementation of the project, the following tools were commonly used: Mozilla Firefox [its addons Firebug, Web developer, PDF Download], PrimoPDF, DoPDF and OpenOffice.
