Participate in a forum discussion and create new forum topics

A forum is an online discussion platform. The discussions are organised by topic. A forum topic is the initial post to a new thread (threaded discussion) within a forum. A threaded discussion occurs as people leave comments on a forum topic (or on other comments within that topic). A forum topic is contained within a forum, which may hold many similar or related forum topics.

The forum topics are organised in forums (or forum themes). The following topics already exist. 

Participate in a forum discussion and create new forum topics

If you want to participate in a forum discussion or to add a forum discussion topic to an existing forum theme you first need an account (with a username and password). If you don't have an account, you can create a new account (in left menu). To create an account, you need an email address. After registration, your password will be sent to your email address. This password can only be used for the first login; you will have to provide a new password when you login the first time.

Once you have an account and you are logged into the system you can:

• participate in forum discussions. You can go to the online forum topics by clicking on one of the forum topics listed higher, or via the Forums menu entry. To participate in a discussion, click on Add a new comment or on Reply (if you would like to reply on a comment). For each new comment, you can also add a subject to the comment.
• add a discussion topic via the Create content menu > Add forum topic if you do not find the topic you want to discuss about amongst the listed forum topics. If you add a forum topic, please make sure they fit into the forum theme [Forums drop down list]
