What is the difference between a white page and a document page or a yellow page?

AMIS is a documentation and exchange center that organises the following information:

  • Documents: downloadable studies, reports, guides, modules and all kinds of documents in PDF format.
  • Maps: downloadable maps in PDF or image (jpg-png-gif) format.
  • Yellow pages: presentation pages of institutions (agencies, authorities, companies, NGOs, organisations etc.)
  • White pages: personal presentation of a resources person within the agriculture and livestock sector. For example a CV of an agronomist in Rwanda.
  • Forums: online discussion platform. The discussions are organised by topic. A forum topic is the initial post to a new discussion thread within a forum.

A white page is a PERSONAL presentation page, with the profile of a resource person for the agriculture and livestock sector in Rwanda.

Before creating the white page: prepare your content

Prepare your curiculum vitae and the description of your profile (personnal info and contact details, key qualifications, eductation and training, language skills, professionnal experience).

If you want to add an image, it has to be in PNG, JPG or GIF format. For photo editing software see the useful software tools help section.

If you want to attach your CV to your white page, it has to be in PDF format. For more help on creating PDF files, click here.

Subtopic quicklinks: Insert images - Upload PDF file (CV)

First you need an account (with a username and password). If you don't have an account, you can create a new account (in left menu). To create an account, you need an email address. After registration, your password will be sent to your email address. This password can only be used for the first login; you will have to provide a new password when you login the first time.

Once you have an account you can upload and create your content. When you are logged into AMIS (with your username and password), the Create content menu will appear. When you click on it, you will be given the option to create a white page. If you are logged in and you follow this link you will also be able to create a document.

Avoid (an) empty line(s) at the top of the description, otherwise the teaser message (short version of the body field) will be empty.
