AMIS is a documentation and exchange center that organises the following information:
If you want to search content (yellow pages, white pages, documents, maps, forum discussions), you do not need an account (username and password). Just go to the Search and downloads menu. This search page allows you to search through ALL content via a search engine in this site, via a search engine through partner sites or using categories in AMIS.
If you want to specifically search only one type of information (documents, or maps or yellow pages for example...) go to the submenus of the Search and downloads menu. In its submenus you can go to specific search pages for documents, maps, yellow pages, white pages, forums, polls. There is also a page with the most recently added information in AMIS and the most popular (according to the number of views or hits by visitors).
The content can be searched via keyword, commodity chain, region (area of intervention), etc. depending on the type of content [see tabs or buttons next to or below page title].
Most of the downloadable documents are in PDF format. To be able to open PDF files, you should have a PDF reader: for example Acrobat Reader [free download of Acrobat Reader for windows] or Foxit Reader [free download of Foxit reader for windows].
First you need an account (with a username and password). If you don't have an account, you can create a new account (in left menu). To create an account, you need an email address. After registration, your password will be sent to your email address. This password can only be used for the first login; you will have to provide a new password when you login the first time.

Once you have an account you participate in forum discussion. Just navigate to a forum via the link in the left side menu and start discussing. You can participate in an existing forum (by clicking REPLY in a forum thread). If you do not find the topic you would like to discuss about, you can create a new forum topic or subject (see previous section).
